Sandra joined the team in 2006 having over 18 years experience of steel research, 11 of which have been within the rail sector. Sandra plays a key role in track component failure investigation and provides metallurgical expertise to develop robust track maintenance processes. Within the team Sandra coordinates rail weld approval testing to the appropriate standards. As part of a team Sandra also undertakes hands-on track monitoring work and subsequent data analysis.
