Corus to raise rail prices by €35 per tonne

14 Apr 2005

Due to the continued global rise in steel costs Corus will increase the price of rail by €35 per tonne across the whole product range. The price increase will be effective from 18th April 2005.

Reiterating what Corus said in June 2004 Gérard Glas, Director of Corus Rail Products said,

"Market conditions in the short to medium term are predicted to remain as they are now and there appears to be no abatement of increases in input costs and demand for steel, therefore we will continue to review prices as and when necessary."
