Corus Cogifer wins Irish contract

Corus Cogifer has signed a major contract with IarnRod Eireann – officially marking the start of a significant investment programme for the Irish railways.

The three-year switch and crossing supply contract was signed in Dublin on 13 January 2005.  The switches and crossings are being designed and manufactured in collaboration with Vossloh Cogifer Switch Systems. 

The Irish railway investment programme will see the introduction of many new designs and longer, high-speed turnouts.  The project will also use UIC54 rail supplied by Corus.
